From the group chat to the first tee

How to actually play more golf with friends.

Agree on a day, time window and number of players before you hunt for a tee time. Put those details in one shared plan, invite your friends, then confirm the exact course and time after someone books. Jolf keeps the plan, RSVPs and your regular group together.

Start a plan before signing in. Round planning is free.

A simple plan beats another long thread.

  1. Pick a window everyone can make.

Start with a date, a morning or afternoon window, and a few possible courses. Agree on 9 or 18 holes and a budget before you book. You can start the plan even if you don’t have a tee time yet.

  2. Invite your people.

Share a private invitation. Friends can preview the plan, then sign in with an email code to join and RSVP. The host can see interest in one place instead of counting replies across messages.

  3. Book it, then confirm it.

One person completes the reservation with the course. Add those booked details to the plan and collect fresh confirmations. Make sure everyone understands the operator’s arrival, payment and cancellation rules.

No tee time yet?

Search with your group in mind.

Use the number of players who intend to come when searching. A slot for one golfer won’t fit a foursome. Compare supported courses in Jolf or save a watch for the day and time window that works for everyone.

Already have a reservation?

Bring the booking you have.

You can add a tee time booked elsewhere and use Jolf to organize the group. Share the exact course, date and time so friends know what they’re confirming. Your course reservation stays with the operator.

How do you find more people to play golf with?

Start with a clear invitation: where, when, how many holes and whether the tee time is already booked. If you have room, Jolf lets you list open places for other golfers to request. The organizer chooses who joins. Your round begins privately, and the roster and group discussion stay private.

For a regular game, save your group and send fresh invitations for the next round. A saved group makes it easier to invite the same people; it does not assume everyone is available or confirm them automatically.

Before you head out

Good questions. Clear answers.

Is there a free app to organize golf with friends?

Jolf is a web app with free round planning, private invitations, RSVPs and saved groups. There is no app download required. Plus adds more tee-time watches; your friends do not need a paid subscription to join a round.

Can I organize a golf trip before booking tee times?

Yes. Start a proposed round with a day, time window and course choices. Use it to find out who’s interested. Once the host books, add the exact tee time and ask the group to confirm. Create a separate round for each planned game.

Does an RSVP reserve or pay for my spot at the course?

No. Jolf coordinates your group. The host’s booking with the course is separate, and the operator sets its payment, cancellation and refund rules. Joining or leaving the Jolf round does not charge, cancel or refund a course reservation.

Can I bring a friend who doesn’t use Jolf?

Friends can preview a shared invitation without an account. To join and RSVP themselves, they sign in with an email code. Hosts can also add named guests to keep the plan accurate; a named guest is not a confirmed Jolf account participant.
