How Jolf referral credit works.
When referral rewards are enabled for your account, inviting an eligible new friend to a round can earn you $8 USD in Plus credit after their first qualifying $8 payment. The reward waits 14 days for a refund and dispute check. Sharing an invitation, joining a round, and RSVPing stay free.

From an invitation to credit
Three things need to happen.
Your new friend joins your round.
Share an existing Jolf round invitation. Your friend must create a new account and actually join through a valid invitation within seven days of account creation, before setting up Plus billing. Opening the link alone does not qualify.
They choose Plus and pay.
The qualifying payment is their first full $8 USD Plus payment by card. A free trial, RSVP, or invoice paid entirely with credit does not earn a reward. Your friend chooses whether to subscribe; the invitation does not enroll or charge them.
The payment passes the review.
The reward remains pending for 14 days after that payment. A refund or dispute can prevent the reward from qualifying. Once approved, $8 is banked for your Plus billing; pending rewards are not available credit.
Who qualifies?
- The inviter must already have an account before the friend creates theirs. You cannot refer yourself.
- Both the inviter and friend must be eligible. Accounts with included beta Plus access are excluded from the referral program.
- The friend’s first qualifying round-invitation join establishes the inviter. Joining later rounds does not switch that attribution or earn another referral reward.
- Each new friend can generate one reward. The program uses round invitations, not a general referral code or a purchase requirement for attending a round.
Check your plan settings to see whether rewards are enabled and you are eligible. A shared invitation can still be used normally when referral rewards are unavailable.
Worth one month at the current Plus price
The reward is $8 in billing credit.
If you have not chosen Plus billing, earned credit stays banked. It does not create a subscription, collect a card, activate Plus by itself, or change a free trial. Once you choose Plus billing, the credit is sent to billing and automatically applies to your next new Plus invoice.
Credit is not cash, cannot be withdrawn, and does not refund an earlier payment. If you choose a paid subscription, Plus costs $8 USD per month and renews until cancelled. Available credit reduces the invoice; after it is used, the normal subscription charge applies. You can manage or cancel the subscription in billing settings.

Banked
Approved credit is waiting for your chosen billing setup or for processing. Earning it does not start a subscription.
Sent to billing
This is the total credit issued to billing over time, not the remaining balance. Review your invoices in billing to see where credit has been used.
Plan settings show aggregate counts and credit amounts. They do not identify which friend paid or expose a friend’s payment information.
Before you head out

Does accepting an invitation cost anything?
No. Joining, planning, and RSVPing are free. Accepting an invitation does not start a paid subscription or change your trial. The inviter may receive credit only if you later choose Plus and meet the referral rules.
Will my trial automatically charge me to earn the reward?
No. The eligible 14-day Plus trial still requires no card and makes no automatic charge. Choosing a recurring Plus subscription is a separate decision. A free trial alone does not earn referral credit.
Can I earn credit while using Free?
Yes, if referral rewards are enabled and you are eligible. Approved credit can stay banked until you choose Plus billing. You do not have to subscribe in order to keep planning rounds with friends.
Where can I ask about a reward?
Check the referral panel in your plan settings first. It shows pending, banked, and issued credit totals, plus rewards needing review. For help with your account, contact help@jolf.fun.
