Find golf partners at Balboa Park
Look for a host’s booked Balboa Park Golf Course round, review its open places and introduce yourself with a join request. After the host approves, check your attendance status and confirm updated details if asked. Available rounds depend on what hosts share.

How to find golf partners · How joining a booked round works
Where to book
The city's rate page separates the 18-hole and nine-hole courses and resident versus visitor prices. It lists an advance booking fee for dates 8–90 days away. Compare the complete reservation price, then check the course and player count on the confirmation.

How far ahead can you book?
The city publishes a standard seven-day window and paid advance access through 90 days, with daily online release at 7 p.m. Pacific. Use the planner below for the relevant calendar date; a published window does not guarantee a slot.
When should you check for your date?
Count back from the day you want to play. All dates and release clocks use the course’s local time: America/Los_Angeles.
No reservation fee inside seven days. A valid resident card is needed for resident pricing; the displayed online quote may be the visitor rate.
Check the official reservation policy → · Reviewed 2026-11-03. If the portal or course gives different terms, use those before booking.
What to know before you play
- A twilight start is a price/time category, not a promise to complete 18 holes. Check the city's seasonal twilight schedule and agree on how much golf your group expects.
- The facility has both 18-hole and nine-hole scorecards. Share the exact course name with friends instead of only saying 'Balboa.'
- Look at the maintenance notice before comparing prices. A lower price and an easier-to-find time do not establish course conditions.
What if tee times are full?
When your date is open for booking, Jolf can monitor supported tee times for your preferred day, time window and number of players. If a matching opening appears, you can receive an email and follow the booking link. Availability can change before you finish booking; Jolf does not reserve the slot or guarantee a cancellation will appear.
Playing Balboa Park with friends
Set one acceptable date range and a backup nine-hole option before the booking date. Ask each player which resident category they qualify for; do not choose one person's rate for everyone. Save the operator confirmation separately from the group invitation.
Use a private Jolf round plan to agree on a date and collect interest before booking. Once you have a reservation, add the confirmed time and ask everyone to RSVP. A planning invitation is separate from a reservation with the course.
