Separate your rate from your reservation window
The City distinguishes resident credentials from visitor rates and advance-booking fees. Use the course guide's booking-date tool, then confirm the category in the official portal. An account showing a quoted rate does not by itself prove every player qualifies for it.
An evening at Mission Bay is a specific plan
Mission Bay's late-fall and winter notice distinguishes the last daytime 18-hole start from front-nine night golf. Decide whether your group wants nine or 18 holes before choosing a time. For a full-length alternative, compare Balboa Park rather than assuming the same start range works everywhere.
Check the course variant on every confirmation
Balboa Park has separate 18-hole and nine-hole courses; Torrey Pines has North and South. Similar names are not interchangeable reservations. Share the exact selection, arrival instructions and confirmation with the group, then use RSVPs to settle attendance.
When your first choice has no opening
First establish whether your date has entered its reservation window. If it has, widen only the times and locations your group can actually use. A watch can help at enabled offerings, but it cannot establish that every new slot is a cancellation or hold it while your friends decide.
